Space Environments Engineer

Job Description:

Work with various programs to characterize the space plasma and radiation environment, perform analyses, and develop design guidelines as appropriate. Work independently on specific tasks, but also contribute to group efforts and to understand the relationship between their results and the overall, system-scale engineering requirements. Required Skills and Education:

• BS degree (MS preferred) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited institutions required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in space (plasma and/or radiation) environments is desired. Experience with space environment and/or radiation modeling is desired. Ability to perform scientific data analysis is desired. Knowledge of programming languages such as Fortran, C, IDL, etc. and the UNIX and LINUX computer platforms is desired
• Excellent communication skills required
